Submitting these articles to various article directories will give you additional backlinks and visibility for your business.

3. Meta Tags (Basic SEO)

Meta tags describe your web pages to search engines and help them index your site.  When using a WordPress blog, take advantages of plug-ins that will make it easier to optimize your blog.  If you have several web pages or blog pages, you must optimize each page for the search engines. Each search engine optimized page can help you draw additional traffic to your site.

2) Your answer will rank in the search engines and get traffic – especially if your answer is chosen as the best answer.

How to get the best results from Yahoo Answers.

The key to getting targeted traffic from Yahoo Answers is to find questions that you can answer that are related to your niche and then send them to your website where you provide more information on the topic.  Additional benefits of checking Yahoo Questions is that it is good market research, it will tell you what your audience is looking for and it will give you many ideas for blog posts.

To get traffic from Yahoo Answers, you want to provide useful answers.

You must do an advanced search to find the best questions to answer. To get the most relevant questions, search questions opened in the last seven days with your keyword or key phrase.  Then, answer the questions you can answer.

To get voted as the best answer, you need to provide quality answers. Read the question thoroughly, understand what is asked and give a targeted answer. Too many people give answers that have nothing to do with the question.

You can be banned if you abuse the system and provide consistently poor answers. As long as you follow Yahoo’s terms of service and provide quality answers you will have no trouble keeping your account.

Start your answer with a greeting, e.g. “Hi, thanks for your question”. Or better yet, mention the person’s name, e.g. Hi Terry.” This will make your answer stand out from the crowd and will start to build a relationship with the questioner.

Then provide your answer and end with something friendly such as “I hope this helps” and then sign with your name.

You should only put your link in your answer directly if it has been asked for. Putting your link in every answer can get your account banned. Your link needs to go in the resources box below your answer. Don’t worry, people will see it and click on it, particularly if your answer is voted the best answer.

Yahoo Answers provides a good method of generating targeted traffic to your website. It works well for most types of sites and some people make decent money just from Yahoo Answers. Use it well and you can benefit from it. I’ve used Yahoo Answers and it works.

Affiliates have thousands of affiliate programs they can choose from. They want to know why they should promote your product over other available affiliate products.

So, how do you motivate affiliates to promote your products?

Have a quality product

An affiliate promotion page needs to provide  useful information for affiliates and highlight how affiliates can benefit from promoting your product. Here are some of the benefits that affiliates look for:

  • High commission earned per sale.
  • Recurring commissions (e.g. subscription or membership products.)
  • Good conversion rate (ratio of visitors to a site who buy).  Mention how well the sales page converts.  Be honest.  If you claim high conversions and are dishonest, affiliates will stop promoting your current products and won’t promote any future affiliate products you’ll have available.

    TIP: Affiliates aren’t going to line up to promote your products if it’s not selling. You’re going to need to get some traffic and make some sales yourself to be able to know your conversion rate and you may have to tweak your sale page until it’s good enough to attract quality affiliates to your offer.

  • Low refund rate (which indicates that you have a quality product).
  • Provide great support to affiliates.
  • Highlight how your product benefits affiliates.
  • Provide a short product description. Mention anything that’s unique or interesting about your product. Mention if the product is in a “hot” niche.

Provide Affiliate Tools

Make it as easy as possible for your affiliates to promote your products.

Provide attractive banner ads, ebook covers, buttons, graphics  that they can put on their site with their affiliate link to your product.

It’s a good idea to provide a wide variety of graphics in different sizes and formats. Hiring a graphic designer to design images for you and creating a useful and attractive page for affiliates is an excellent investment in your product that can easily pay for itself.

Other tools can include text ads, email messages, articles, etc.

Suggest keywords that relate to your product, which affiliate can bid on in paid advertising, or try to rank in search engines to drive free traffic to your website.

Provide as much information as possible to made the affiliate’s job easier and you’ll have a great start to attract affiliates.

  8. Motivate readers to do what you want them to do with action verbs. A call to action such as “call now,” “order now,” and “click here” can dramatically increase sales. Give precise instructions. Videos are very popular today for Internet marketing

Video marketing can take your business to the next level. YouTube is a mass traffic source and Google shows YouTube videos high up in its search results  with a small image of the video which is likely to get more clicks.

Are you looking for good video creator software to make short  videos?  There are many ways to make cool videos. Here are some of the most popular methods of creating videos.

  1. Use a flip cam and record yourself or someone else.
  2. YouTube video. You can make movies right at YouTube.
  3. Record Powerpoint slides. You can create a slideshow in PowerPoint and record your screen. (Use powerpoint or Keynote and then Camstudio, Camtasia or Screenflow to capture your screen)
  4. Create screen capture videos with Camtasia. You can download a 30 day fully functional copy of Camtasia from techsmith.com. Or you can use the free alternatives Camstudio and Sony Vegas.
  5. Windows Movie Maker (Free – included in Windows computers). It can help you make beautiful slideshow or video clips (e.g. mixing your songs with pictures/video/etc),  then save it as video file such as wmv or mpg, then upload. Or just get use clips you want, save and convert them, and then mix/match with pictures and sound using Windows Movie Maker to create new masterpieces.
  6. iMovie for Mac users.
  7. Animoto –  www.animoto.com (free). Create videos  in minutes. Animoto works with any operating system as long as you have Internet. Just upload your own photos or put your own text in, select the music and layout, and Animoto will do the rest. It’s really easy.
  8. Picasa. Similar to Animoto. (I like it – but seems to have limited transitions)
  9. OneTruemedia – Onetruemedia.com – similar to Animoto – has lots of stock photos – easy – I like their transmissions and you can control the length of the images. Works with any operating system as long as you have Internet.
  10. Zillatube – www.zillatube.com.  This is the easiest and the fastest way to create YouTube movies. Free download (limited usage) or purchase at $20.97. It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted MPG videos with Windows Movie Maker.
  11. iPhone 4 or 4s – ivideohero.com/.
  12. After Effects CS4 –  This professional software gives you more capabilities than Powerpoint or Camtasia but is very expensive.
  13. Adobe Premiere lets you edit your movie.

ArticleVideoRobot is very easy to use and really fast. It has a free trial (but the trial is limited and you can’t submit or download your videos.) Article Video Robot is well worth the money. The advantage of articlevideorobot over similar software is that they automatically blast your video article to many sites gaining you loads of traffic.

Try out some of those systems and see which one best fits your needs.

Want the easiest way? Just write the script, record your voice and hire a freelancer to make the video.

Also, if you have if you have articles, you can make extra money by converting articles to video.

For some people, using Wordtracker on an as-needed basis will work. But if you want to build search engine optimized web sites or keyword focused article pages, then you need to go for a paid version of WordTracker.
