Selecting quality affiliate products that benefit your audience is very important to becoming successful with affiliate marketing.

You can find over 1 million affiliate products through affiliate networks and directories. You can also find affiliate products directly from the merchant's websites. But I'm focusing here on affiliate networks and directories to help you find quality affiliate products.

Affiliate networks provide many benefits.

Affiliate networks connect many advertisers and publishers.
Merchants join affiliate networks because they handle affiliate tracking and payments.
Affiliate networks offer affiliates a large variety of affiliate programs and products to promote.
Affiliates can access all the affiliate products in a network by creating one account and one login.
Affiliates are guaranteed payment because the network pays – not the merchant.
Affiliate networks provide great tracking tools for affiliates.

TIP: Your site must meet the requirements of the networks to be accepted for their program.

Affiliate networks typically require you to have a website. They will check your website or blog before approving you as an affiliate. So, before applying to become an affiliate, make sure your website looks professional and provides quality content.

The affiliate sites listed below are all established, quality affiliate networks that provide a large variety of affiliate products and niches. If you're serious about affiliate marketing, you should check them out and join some of them.

1. Amazon Associates

The Amazon affiliate program is known as Amazon Associates.

You must have a website to be approved for Amazon's affiliate program if you're in the US. If you don’t have a website or blog yet, check my blog post, How To Create a Money-Making Blog.
Affiliates can add affiliate links on their website to any item on Amazon's site. This gives you a huge selection of products you can promote as an affiliate.
You get commissions for anything the customer buys through your affiliate link. When someone clicks on your affiliate link and buys something else, you will get a commission for all orders placed within 24 hours. This is how your commission can significantly increase without making any extra effort.
Amazon affiliates can do very well when promoting high-priced items.

The conversion rate with Amazon Associates is typically higher than that of other affiliate programs because people know and trust Amazon.

Clickbank is available to everyone. It's super easy to join and start promoting affiliate products from their marketplace because you don't need approval to become a Clickbank affiliate. You just create a free account and you can start promoting any product in their marketplace.

ClickBank has a large selection of digital and physical products but is best known for digital products such as ebooks and software. Software affiliate programs pay some of the highest commissions (they often pay 40% to 75%).

It's free to join Clickbank as an affiliate but they take a small fee from sales which is split between the advertiser and the affiliate.

TIP: The quality of the products at Clickbank varies – especially for ebooks. So make sure to select the programs you promote carefully.

3. CJ – One of the most established and largest affiliate networks

CJ Affiliate by Conversant (previously Commission Junction), is one of the largest and most established affiliate networks. It has some very well-known advertisers (including Expedia and Disney). They have pay-per-lead, pay-per-sale, pay-per-click, and pay-per-call programs, offering many opportunities to make money.

4. Rakuten Marketing

Rakuten is one of the top 3 e-commerce companies worldwide. Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) offers cash back at over 2,000 stores whenever you begin your shopping through the Rakuten website. Affiliates receive $25 for every referral through their link.

Rakuten also owns many other sites and services, including Ebates, Viber, Kobo, Overdrive, Rakuten Marketing, and has invested in Pinterest and Lyft.

Sharesale is a large, established affiliate marketing network with a huge variety of offers and a great reputation. ShareASale offers pay-per-sale, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-click affiliate programs.

ShareASale is a great place for affiliate newbies. Instead of waiting months to meet minimum payoffs for different companies, Share-A-Sale combines referral income from multiple companies and they have a low payout requirement so you can get paid faster.

Impact is a newer network that offers more than nine million products. You can find a range of well-known brands such as Adidas, Fabletics, L’Oréal, and American Express. They also have partnerships with technology brands such as HubSpot, Stripe, and Shopify, and opportunities with SaaS and SEO brands.

It offers a suite of automation tools to help affiliates manage their partnerships. And their Mobile App Partner Marketplace helps publishers optimize for mobile traffic and increase revenue.

Everyone knows Ebay. They have a wide range of inventory and high conversion rates. When you drive traffic to eBay and it converts into a purchase, you'll earn a percentage of eBay's revenue. The commission is based on category-level commission rates and ranges from 40% to 80% (of eBay's profits).

Etsy sells products that are made by crafters, vintage traders, and artists. They also sell a large variety of digital templates. The affiliate commission is low (4%) but it's a popular marketplace and you may consider becoming an affiliate if you're in the arts and crafts niche.
