How To Make Money Blogging
One of the easiest ways to make money by blogging is by promoting affiliate programs.
It’s pretty simple. Just put affiliate links or ads on your blog and sell affiliate programs.
Affiliate products can pay 40 to 75% in commissions and higher. If you don’t have your own products to sell, you can sell other people’s products as an affiliate.
Even if you have your own products, you should offer related products or services through affiliate programs so you’ll have more resources to offer to your audience.
There are many different types of affiliate ads that can monetize a blog. You can find products that fit your niche through ClickBank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction, Linkshare, Amazon and others.

Google Adsense Ads
Google Adsense ads are a form of advertising that involves displaying ads on your websites or blog. It’s free to join as an Adsense advertiser. Once you apply for the program and get approved, Google will display relevant Adsense ads on your website or blog.
With Adsense, you will get a small commission every single time a visitor to your site clicks on one of the Google ads displayed on your blog. This is an easy way to start making money with your blog because you don’t have to do any selling. You are simply making money each time they click on your ads. You can earn money even if people don’t purchase anything from the websites the ad is sending them to.
Google adsense pays high cpc rates for generated clicks. Google Adsense pays $0.01 to $5.00 for each click while other ad networks pay only $0.03 to $0.2 per click. The rate may vary due to geographical location of users, ad placement and advertisers budget.
The average commission per click is about 20 cents, but it depends on how competitive the keywords are. Advertisers pay more money for more competitive keywords. These are usually the keywords for topics that are very profitable such as insurance, credit cards, real estate, attorneys, etc. Competitive keywords (e.g. criminal attorney) can cost up to $30 per click.
To find high-paying keywords, check out my favorite keyword tool: Market Samurai. This is the keyword tool I personally use the most. And you can check it out for FREE by clicking on the link below.

Google Adsense keeps 32% ad revenue for content ads. Google pays to publishers(site owners) monthly if your Adsense account balance over than or equal to $100. Google Adsense provides different types of ads, including Adsense content, search, video, games, domains and mobile ads.
To sign up, visit www.Google.com/adsense and create your account. After signing up, you can get a code that you copy and paste into your blog pages that will feature advertising boxes from various merchants. You can customize the size and color scheme of your Adsense advertising boxes so that they blend well with your existing blog’s theme.
You can also create campaigns within your Adsense account so that you can have a number of different advertisements across a network of blogs, which will give you the ability to determine which ads are converting and working well and which ones you should tweak to perform better.
Size matters
In general, larger square ad boxes convert better when you modify the colors to blend well with your website. You don’t want these advertisements to intrude on your visitor’s experience navigating throughout your website, but instead focus on creating advertisements that fit well within your layout and use a similar color scheme.
Start with the 250×250 square ad boxes or the 300×250 medium size if your blog’s theme can accommodate it. Otherwise, the tower advertisements can be integrated into the side panels of most blog themes.
The 728×90 leaderboard ad box is great for the upper portion of your blog’s theme, right under the header, or at the very bottom, featured within the footer area of your website.
Just be sure to avoid overloading your website with Adsense advertisement boxes.
Don’t put too many ads on your site. Remember, that you want to provide your visitors with the best experience possible so that they return to your site frequently.
Also, Google’s Terms don’t permit to feature more than three advertisements on any given page, so be sure to review their restrictions and terms prior to integrating Adsense on your website.
There is a free WordPress plugin that will help you integrate Google Adsense advertisements into your blogs pages.
You can download it from:
www.wordpressmax.com/plugins/adsense-deluxe
You will also want to create individual channels for each blog that you plan to feature Adsense on so that you can determine what campaigns are working well, and track the CTR of each advertisement.
If you find that a particular ad isn’t preforming well, try changing the placement, color scheme or size of the ad, as well as the general channel so that your advertisements are highly targeted to your audience.
You can contact me if you need help with integrating Google Adsense ads on your website or blog.
Keep in mind that you’ll make more money by monetizing your website or blog with affiliate programs. Check the resource below to find out more about promoting affiliate programs.

People often ask me how they can monetize their website or blog.
When thinking of ways to monetize your website or blog, make sure you target your audience and offer quality products or services.
Monetizing doesn’t have to take a lot of time. When you’ve found quality, targeted ads or products, they can work for you for a long time. You might want to test several offers and see which products convert well. Once in a while you might want to replace some less converting offers with others but it’s not something you have to do every day.
Once you have your monetization in place, you should spend the majority of your time getting traffic to your site. The more traffic you’ll get, the more money you’ll be able to make from your website.

Affiliate marketing is the best way for new Internet entrepreneurs to get started. This article discusses how you can make money as an affiliate.
If you’re a merchant who wants to make your product available for promotion by affiliates, check my article on how to set up an affiliate program for your products.
What is affiliate marketing?
Affiliate marketing is an arrangement between an online merchant and affiliate, in which the affiliate earns a commission for generating sales, leads and/or clicks for the merchant’s website.
Benefits of affiliate programs:
- You can make money almost immediately.
- You don’t have to create your own product.
- You don’t have to deal with payment processors (don’t need a merchant account)
- You don’t have inventory expenses.
- You don’t have to carry or ship products.
- You don’t have to spend time processing orders, refunds or returns.
- The only work of the webmaster is to promote the merchant’s site.
- It’s one of the fastest and best ways to get started in online marketing.
How it works:
Typically, you’ll find one or more affiliate programs and add your affiliate link to your website. There are ways to promote affiliate programs without a website but you’ll have more possibilities if you have a website or blog.
As an affiliate, you will be provided with a unique affiliate-id, links, and banners to promote the merchant’s products. You display text links and/or banners on your website. You can also provide affiliate links in emails and newsletters. Whenever a visitor to your site clicks the links/banners, they’ll be redirected to the merchant. If someone purchases through your link, you’ll get a commission!
As an affiliate you can earn from 5% to 75% and more in commissions. Many digital products pay 50% and more commissions.
There are many directories specializing in listing affiliate programs. Here are some of the popular ones:
- Clickbank (for electronic products only)
- Commission Junction (CJ)
- ShareASale
