You can automate your sales for electronic products so people can buy from your site 24/7.

Basically, how it works:

You set up a  thank you page on your site that will automatically appear when people buy something from you and the payment is authorized. This is accomplished by putting the URL of your thank you page in your shopping cart links when setting up a payment button.

You put your download links in your thank you page. So, when poeple purchase, they are automatically directed to the thank you page and they get a link where they can download your electronic products.

By setting up a download page as described above you can automate selling ebooks, software, and other electronic products.

Some tips for creating thank you pages:

  • Create a page with a file name that is not easy for poeple to guess and find your download page without paying. For example, you don't want to call the page yourdomain/thank you or yourdomainthank-you or yourdomainthankyouproductname.
  • Add links in the thank you page that link to the product(s) so people can download them.
  • Set up your pages to open in a new window so (people will lose the URL if you don’t do this). This is especially important if you have more than one link in your download page.
  • TIP: You may want to PDF any Word files (extra protection) unless you want people to be able to modify the files for example, when providing templates.
  • If your files are large, compress them.
  • Provide instructions on how to download the files and decompress them.
  • Provide instructions on how to best use your products.
